Report: Warriors, Timberwolves Restart Kevin Love Talks

The seemingly never-ending saga involving a potential Kevin Love trade to the Golden State Warriors seems to be on again. According to reports, Golden State has restarted trade discussions with the Minnesota Timbervoles for the All-Star power forward.

According to an Associated Press report, the two sides have sat down face-to-face in Las Vegas where the NBA’s Summer League is being held (h/t Fox Sports).

Timberwolves president and coach Flip Saunders was seen talking to Warriors GM Bob Myers at the arena on Sunday as the two sides look to bridge the gaps that caused discussions to stall.

The gap seems to be Warriors guard Klay Thompson, who Myers has been reluctant to give up in any deal. If the Warriors were to give in and send Thompson to Minnesota, this deal would be wrapped up relatively quickly. It remains to be seen if they are even considering it at this point. Golden State is said to be offering David Lee, Harrison Barnes and future picks in exchange for Love.

In addition to Golden State, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been engaging in trade conversations for Love. The issue there is that they’re not willing to part with 2014 No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins in any potential deal.

At the end of the day, it’s rather clear that Love will be moved. It just remains to be seen who gives in first…Cleveland, Golden State or Minnesota.
