Report: Cleveland Cavaliers Sign Andrew Wiggins

The Cleveland Cavaliers have reportedly signed No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, which means he cannot be traded for 30 days. Wiggins, the top prospect out of Kansas in the 2014 NBA draft, has been linked in a potential trade for Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love.

It remains to be seen exactly what this means for the Cavs chances of landing Love. Minnesota has demanded that Cleveland add Wiggins to any deal that includes the All-Star power forward. Recent reports have suggested that the Cavaliers have agreed to put Wiggins on the table in negotiations.

This 30-day window could very well increase the odds that the Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets or Golden State Warriors might be able to land Love. Then again, it could just mean that any Love deal could be postponed for 30 days.
