Bills' Sammy Watkins Caused E.J. Manuel's Phone to Die

Excited about training camp and the upcoming 2014 season, quarterback E.J. Manuel speaks about the team’s first-round draft pick Sammy Watkins. Apparently Manuel’s phone was ringing off the hook the night the team drafted Watkins.

Manuel had this to share with MMQB’s Peter King after the team drafted their star rookie wideout.

C.J. Spiller calls me right away and says, “We got our boy! We got our boy!” Because we’d been talking about it since January. My phone went almost dead, because 18,000 people called me at one time. It’s going to be great to watch him grow.

It appears the bid for Watkins for “Offensive Rookie of the Year” is well underway.
