Houston Texans’ Jadeveon Clowney Undergoes Surgery

Houston Texans pass rusher and first overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, Jadeveon Clowney had sports hernia surgery this past Thursday in Philadelphia, according to coach Bill O’Brien.

Flown in to Philadelphia to have an examination for a nagging groin issue, Clowney underwent the surgery. O’Brian reports that Clowney, who hasn’t been bothered by this too long, should be ready for training camp.

So far, the Texans first-round draft pick from South Carolina has been a full participant in Houston’s voluntary team activities. Additionally, Clowney has only missed one practice and that was due to his appearance at the NFLPA Rookie premiere.
