Chicago Bears: Alshon Jeffery Claims Brandon Marshall and Himself are the Best

2013 was an incredible year for the Chicago Bears awesome receiving duo of Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. And, no one agrees more than Jeffery himself, proudly stating that he and Marshall are the two best receivers in the NFL last year.

Jeffery elaborated on his claim (via NFL.com).

I’m not the type of person that brags a lot about anything, but I feel that last year, what we did, we were at the top of the list as the two best receivers, Jeffery told Sporting News’ Rana L. Cash last week. But that was last year. This year we have to set our goal and try our best to do the same thing we did last year, if not better.

Yes, 2013 was an incredible year for Jeffery and Marshall, as far as their statistics and in fantasy football. Producing a combined total of over 2,700 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns had both receivers ranked within the top 10 for their class in 2013. Marshall with 205.50 fantasy points ranked fourth overall, with Jeffery ranking ninth earning 194.60 fantasy points.

There’s no doubt that both Jeffery and Marshall present a brutal double-threat to opposing defenses, so hopefully Bears’ fans and those who draft either of these amazing receivers in fantasy football will be rewarded with another successful year in 2014.
