According to David Aldridge of, Steve Kerr will be the new head coach of the Golden State Warriors. The deal is said to be worth $25 million over five seasons. Kerr, who has zero coaching experience, will replace Mark Jackson on the bench in Golden State.

Kerr turned down the New York Knicks in order to become the Warriors new head coach. That’s the shocker in all of this, as it seems the upstart Warriors were a more attractive destination for Kerr. Remember, the Knicks are now run by Phil Jackson, who has a long history with the former Chicago Bulls point guard.

This news is still breaking, but it appears that the Warriors got their guy.
