Cody Decker Pulls Another Prank, This Time On Brooks Conrad

The El Paso Chihuahuas’ utility player Cody Decker made a film that took the world by storm a month ago when he put together an epic prank against MLB veteran Jeff Francoeur. (So viral in fact when Googling Francoeur “Jeff Francoeur prank” pops up.)

Here is the story I did on Decker’s first video last month.

In true Cody Decker fashion, he wasn’t done. This time he decided to prank another fellow teammate of the San Diego Padres’ Triple-A affiliate, Brooks Conrad.

How did he do this?

Well, Decker is an Oakland Raiders fan. As he indicated…

I grew up a Raider fan, going to games in Southern California.

And Conrad is a die hard San Diego Chargers fan. Decker and a teammate, Hector Ambriz (who is also a Raiders fan ) decided to tape an Oakland flag near the 34 year-old’s locker.

I think it’s time we unleash the fury, Decker says in the video.

So did he?

Honestly, the only time I’ve seen him (Conrad) show any emotions is when we talk Raiders and Chargers. If there’s a Raiders shirt in the clubhouse, he will turn the shirt around. But he had the perfect reaction to it. A type of subdued, calm and under control.

I then had to ask Decker since it’s beginning to start a pattern if any of the guys are more weary towards him.

I don’t think so. It’s just a relaxed atmosphere. We have fun and we laugh about it, but we still take plenty of jabs at each other.

Here’s the video.
