The Baltimore Orioles defense is doing something amazing this season. With players like Manny Machado, J.J. Hardy, and David Lough leading the charge the Orioles might just be on track for a record breaking season. TC sits down with Ryan Romano to head off into left field.

Today TC and Ryan Romano are going unfiltered! With baseball season in full swing the left-side defense of the Orioles is looking sharp. It appears there are only a few things that could hold this team back from joining the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Twins in the exclusive batting title triumvirates club. If they get the title they will be the very first team to be there with only players from the left side of the field. The 2014 Orioles may have the best defensive left side that history has seen, according to Ryan. The only caveat to keeping three defensive players on the list is keeping everyone healthy. TC and Ryan discuss some of the bigger challenges that the Orioles are facing this year. This includes the rise and fall of Brian Matusz. Matusz showed improvement between the 2012 and 2013 season and it appears that was short lives and his pitching is on the decline again.
Also up for debate again is the quality and skill level of official scorers in baseball. It seems that either they need glasses or they simply don’t understand what is going on in the game. TC is beginning to wonder why they are there at all because they certainly aren’t doing their jobs. Perhaps they need their own spring training camp?
