Down 5-3 in the bottom of the eighth, the Minnesota Twins were running out of outs in the back end of a day-night doubleheader against the Toronto Blue Jays. Then something happened. Something you simply don’t see every day around Major League Baseball.
The Twins netted six runs off one hit in the bottom of the eighth to take a 9-5 lead and ended up sweeping the twin bill.
Three Blue Jays pitchers combined to walk eight batters and throw three wild pitches in what has to be considered one of the most hilarious meltdowns in recent baseball history.
