Romo, who is about to turn 34, underwent a minor back surgery for a herniated disk late last December, missing the last game of the regular 2013 season. So, Troy Aikman, who also had this same surgery when he was 26, retired when he was 34. So, put 34 and back surgery together, and Aikman is starting to panic.

Aikman commented, via NFL.com
I came back in a relatively short period of time because of when I had my surgery, so he’s at least afforded more time to get ready,” Aikman told the team’s official website Wednesday. “But having said that, two back surgeries in less than a year at his age, I would be a bit concerned.
Even though it appears Romo is on track and perhaps even ahead of schedule during his recovery process, and he’s being heavily endorsed by owner, Jerry Jones, it doesn’t sound like Aikman is sold.

I would think if Romo’s back was really bothering him, he wouldn’t have been whooping it up at all the college basketball games he recently attended, which seemed to seriously irritate 90% of the general public.
@DyNaH428 I just saw a pic of Tony Romo & Jason Garrett w/ Duke shirts. I think they cursed them. #Mercer pic.twitter.com/dC22tVpiae

Aikman should probably stop being a Debbie-Downer and show more support for Romo as the teams organized team activities begin soon.
Also, Aikman could look at the bright side, if Romo goes down, the Dallas Cowboys always have 30 year-old, Brandon Weeden to rely upon.
Every cloud has a silver lining, right?
