In the land of the strange. That’s pretty much our only explanation for the Seattle Seahawks releasing a statement that star quarterback Russell Wilson is divorcing his wife Ashton.

So many different things crossed my mind upon hearing this story. First off, the 500-pund elephant in the room. Why would the Seahawks organization deem it their responsibility to issue a release on the personal relationship of one of their players?
Maybe they want to control the narrative in case some other big news relating the split surfaces. You know, maybe Ashton cheated on Wilson with Richard Sherman.

What about Michael Crabtree?
Now that we have started up a TMZ-like gossip conversation here, why not go for the win? After all, there has to be a Colin Kaepernick joke in here somewhere. Some help, please. And no, don’t reference the Miami incident. We have to draw the line somewhere.
