This isn’t exactly the way to endure yourself to your new team, especially after signing a veteran minimum deal. Wide receiver Josh Morgan was arrested over the weekend on simple assault charges after punching a valet driver in the face. Morgan thought the driver was checking staring at his lady companion outside of a D.C. night club early Monday morning.

Morgan recorded 20 receptions for 214 yards and zero touchdowns for the Washington Redskins last season. His best year came with the San Francisco 49ers back in 2010 when the former sixth-round pick recorded over 600 yards and two touchdowns.
He figured to compete with Marquess Wilson, Eric Weems and a likely rookie for the No. 3 wide receiver role behind Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. It remains to be seen just how much this incident impacts his role and ability to earn a roster spot in 2014.
