Does Frank Gore Have The Steam To Run Three More Years?

San Francisco 49ers veteran running back and former third-round draft pick in 2005, Frank Gore, turns 31 years-old next month. He’s ran hard and has been solid, but can the 49ers expect a few more good years from Gore? Apparently, Terrell Davis believes in him.

Davis backs up coach Jim Harbaugh’s thoughts on Gore via 49ers.com here.

“What we’ve seen for 10 years has been a rock,” Davis, now an NFL Network analyst, told 49ers.com over the weekend. “How long can he continue to be solid for the Niners? Hopefully for a few more years.”

Davis, the three-time All-Pro, who retired from his running back duties with the Denver Broncos at age 29, should know tough and durable from first-hand experience. Gore has impressively played at least 11 games per season over the course of his career.

Heck, the 49ers should hope that Gore stays healthy and performs up to par this season, as the team is shrinking by the day with various players involved in criminal or legal allegations.

Here’s to Gore and his future longevity.
