Ray Rice Has Been Indicted By Grand Jury For Aggravated Assault

Remember that little Ray Rice casino episode caught on film from last month? Yes, the one where he allegedly punched his fiancée out cold, then dragged her unconscious body out of an elevator, which lead to his arrest for simple assault, domestic violence. Well, the grand jury has just indicted Rice on third-degree, aggravated assault.

ESPN reports

I have been advised by the prosecutor’s office that an indictment has been returned,” Diamondstein told ESPN on Thursday afternoon.

Deny, deny, deny is the motto here.

Furthermore, directly from Rice’s attorney…

We vehemently deny that Mr. Rice committed an aggravated assault…Both Mr. Rice and Miss Palmer are together, they are happy and they’re in counseling.

It appears that Rice and his fiancée are living as blissfully as ever and are even attending counseling and would like to put this supposed event behind them. I’d just recommend to Rice that next time there is that urge to crack his elbow or wrist or whatever movement he did, don’t do it where there are cameras everywhere.

This video which has gone viral, and has probably been posted millions of times, is ridiculously hard to explain. It should be interesting to see how this indictment plays out over the summer, as Rice’s career with the Ravens could be in jeopardy.
