Antonio Cromartie Looks Like A Lock To Join The Arizona Cardinals

Our source? The same as your source…Twitter. In a sign that social media itself is taking the football world over, Antonio Cromartie reported himself that he’s expecting to get a deal done with the Arizona Cardinals to team up with Pro Bowl cornerback Patrick Peterson.

Watch out Adam Schefter, this Twitter guy is going to put you out of business. He has hundreds of millions of followers, even President Obama himself. None of us can compete with this.

What would Cromartie bring to the Cardinals? He’d be a major upgrade opposite Peterson and help build one of the strongest secondaries in the entire league. Remember, second-year stud Tyrann Mathieu was considered a top Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate last season before going down with a season-ending injury in December.

For his part, Cromartie is coming off two consecutive Pro Bowl campaigns for the New York Jets.

Arizona needs to do everything in its power to close the gap between itself and the top two teams in the division. Adding left tackle Rodger Saffold and now Cromartie to the mix is a nice start.

Now we wait to see if it’s “going to happen.”
